We serve a different three course gourmet breakfast each day of your stay. Bananas Foster French Toast   BREAKFAST AS FINE DINING Breakfast is generally thought of as a lackluster meal with the evening meal being the exciting one. At Emerald Lakes we try and make breakfast EXCITING! Our Bananas Foster French Toast will make your taste buds sit up and pay attention. Real vanilla bean, banana liquor, rum, butter, cream, brown sugar..............you will think you have died and gone to heaven. When Mary fixes this creation, she is happy all day long (and not because she has been sampling the individual ingredients but because she makes sure there is one extra piece which she allows herself after the kitchen has been cleaned). Most guests find that they do not need lunch after our breakfasts. Some even go back to their room and take a nap! Place settings and menus are varied each day of your stay.   CUSTOM BIRTHDAY CAKE for guests who select our "Birthday Package" (wine, custom cake, roses).   Death by Chocolate, Valentine's 2004 Did I mention that we spoil our guests? The cake above was created for those lucky people who stayed with us at Valentine's 2004. The aroma of pure chocolate filled the guest lounge! This cake could just as easily be his or her birthday cake. Don't like chocolate..........how about coffee, lemon, orange, lime, mint, strawberry, vanilla, white chocolate..........just tell us when you book our Birthday Package . We do need advance notice, so be sure and request that special creation several days in advance. She explained that my fruit and sweet dishes were gorgeous but that her husband preferred protein to sweets and fruit. In response to this request, I put together a man-sized Eggs Benedict. To give you a sense of scale....the English muffin upon which the egg sits is standard size. Ham anyone? Breakfast Banana Split * * (Chocolate Syrup Optional)      And just so he didn't go away hungry, the XL Eggs Benedict was followed by a Breakfast Banana Split. To complete the split, a small silver pitcher of chocolate sauce was served on the side.       Our happy father pronounced it, "the best breakfast I have ever had!"       Yes, Father's Day is once a year, but we are happy to serve this man-sized breakfast any day of the year. Cross country skiing is readily available or one can sample the many trails. Winter activities include ice skating,  ice climbing, dog sledding,  snowboarding, sleigh rides, and snowshoeing.
